About the Owner
James Pennington is the last born child, to parents that were raised, as children of the great depression.  His father's strong work ethic, tough love, and hard-taught "value of a dollar" were matched only by a mother's  devout christian beliefs, compassion for people in need, and her own work ethics.  James moved with his family to Sulphur Springs at the age of 2, in October 1976.
James attended Sulphur Springs public schools and graduated from high school in 1992.  During the summer breaks from high school ( '89,'90,'91), he worked for a local exterminating company as a termite service helper.
After high school, James followed his older brother's path and went on to college for a computer programming career.  Concerns over the health of his mother and father brought James back to Sulphur Springs in March 1993 without finishing his college curriculum.  The family medical fears soon would pass, but being back home in Sulphur Springs caught hold of the young man.
James immediately hired on full-time with that same local independent exterminating company.  His work habits and abilities soon earned the trust and respect of his peers.  He advanced quickly in his licensing protocol, and was issued his own truck, and pest control route.  In December 1994, he received the highest license offered by the state (certified applicator) at the age of 20.
A conflict in the direction of management at his employer caused James to reacess his goals, and career choices.  So, in April 1995, he ventured into business ownership - the creation of TERMITE TECHNOLOGY & PEST CONTROL.
The beginning years of a new business had many ups and downs, but James was defiant.  In 1996, he trained for a commercial driver's license and drove semi trucks, and hauled milk for the local milk plant.  In 2000, he went to college through East Texas Police Academy-Kilgore College, and became a Texas licensed peace officer.  James worked for a small community police force at night, and exterminated houses by day until business demands required his full-time attention in 2003.
In March 2008, James celebrated his 19th year in the PEST CONTROL industry.  Changes in the pest control industry do require a watchful eye for new methods and innovative products. Adapting to those changes, has placed James Pennington, and Termite Technology & Pest Control ahead of the competition.
